Role Description
The intern will be able to develop key workplace soft skills in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, self-management, planning and organising, use of workplace technology, learning and willingness to take on new challenges, initiative, and professionalism.
The Intern will:
- Understand to develop and implement marketing initiatives through a range of communication channels
- Learn how to develop and create content for marketing, digital and print platforms
- Observe the creation and writing of advertisements
- Learn to create Email Marketing through Electronic Direct Mail (EDM) or Mail Chimp
- Observe the Social Media management
- Learn to contact referral networks and marketing the company services
- Assist with general administration and data entry when needed
- Review proofreading draft content to ensure it is compliant with company standards
- Assist to maintain and update database
- Learn the reporting on results against marketing campaigns to determine the level of success
- Learn to shape initiatives to attract and retain customers through an in-depth knowledge of customer experience drivers

Promotions:
- Developing and promoting marketing activities
- Developing promotional materials
- Developing marketing and advertising budgets
- Expressing creativity in print ads, web site designs, etc.
- Effectively designing and updating web sites
- Matching the optimal media package with the chosen target audience
- Writing media and press releases
- Manage photo shoots for promotional materials
Sales:
- Conducting a sales presentation and altering the presentation based on the needs of the customer
- Creating and analysing e-mail campaigns in an effort to create sales leads
- Creating and analysing promotional campaigns in an effort to create sales leads
- Learning the different methods of selling and advertising
- Understanding the selling procedure from prospecting for new clients to closing a sale
- Gaining knowledge of the field sales team through participating in sales calls and trade shows
- Manage sales force incentive program
Research:
- Conducting market research
- Conducting interviews and observing sessions, analysing data, and presenting findings in a formal report
- Conducting surveys and hosting focus groups in order to generate ideas and gain insights into new products
- Develop skills for researching demographic information needed to reach target markets
- Conducting internet marketing analysis
Other:
- Help manage customer service and/or customer relationships
- Branding a product, service
- Creating a marketing plan
- Developing and enhancing collaborative and teamwork skills
- Gaining knowledge of the differences in marketing approaches with not-for-profit organisations
- Gaining knowledge on the different marketing techniques that are used between the U.S. and Europe
- Help with new product launch

Skills
- We’re looking for young and vibrant individual who has marketing background and graduate in marketing qualification
- The individual person is someone who is switched on in terms of marketing strategies and marketing know-how
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and well-developed organisational skills
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills
Eligibility
- Must be over 18 years of age
- Must have enroled or completed a master’s degree within the last 2 years
- Have an IELTS score of 6.0 Overall (and no band less than 6.0) or PTE overall score of 50+*
- Must be able to commit to a minimum of 3 days per week & 12 weeks period. (duration may vary between 10-12 weeks and can be confirmed by the employer)
- You must have an Australian Citizenship/Permanent Residency OR a valid visa that allows you to work in Australia to be considered for this role
*If your bachelor’s or master’s degree has been completed in Australia, your IELTS/PTE score submission is optional.
