Description

Our client is a well-established IT firm. They are looking to on-board an IT Front End Developer Intern. This is a good opportunity for an intern to gain hands on core experience and progress in their career. Immediate Hiring | 20 Hours/Week

Role Description
As an IT Web Frontend Developer Intern, the intern will work under the close supervision of the team leader and gain hands on experience in:
  • Programming using React / JavaScript / TypeScript (Webpack, Babel preferred)
  • Analysing data processing, Database schema planning, design and implementation
  • Assisting with implement overall web repulsiveness and functionality
  • Understanding the process of implementing requests between the web front-end and the back-end server
  • Interacting with the backend platform to determine the interface and mock data to complete the interaction
Learning Outcomes

The intern will be able to develop key workplace soft skills in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, self-management, planning and organising, use of workplace technology, learning and willingness to take on new challenges, initiative, and professionalism.

Additionally, the Intern will:

  1. Gain an overview of the website development lifecycle and architecture
  2. Understand the role of a developer in an Agile project
  3. Gain experience working in a tight-knit Agile project team that includes technical staff and stakeholders

Participate in workshops, projects and scrum meetings

Eligibility
  • Must have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in your chosen field of study within the last 2 years
  • Have an IELTS score of 6.0 Overall (and no band less than 6.0) or PTE overall score of 50+*
  • Must be able to commit to a minimum of 3 days per week & 12 weeks period. (duration may vary between 10-12 weeks and can be confirmed by the employer)
  • You must have an Australian Citizenship/Permanent Residency OR a valid visa that allows you to work in Australia to be considered for this role

*If your bachelor’s or master’s degree has been completed in Australia, your IELTS/PTE score submission is optional.

Skills

  • React / JavaScript / TypeScript (Webpack, Babel preferred);
  • Project experience of web development is a must
  • Understanding of the Web Servers and Deployment; AWS operation is preferred
  • Constant communication with other colleagues in the business to develop and deploy their content
  • Conferring with teams to resolve conflicts, prioritize needs, develop content criteria, or choose solutions
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Accurate with work, highly structured and methodical
  • Great attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Be a fast learner and have a willingness to learn and grow
