Description
IT Application Support Analyst Application Support Analyst required by an Australian-owned manufacturing company based in the northern suburbs of Brisbane. This company is well established and promotes from within. This role would suit a junior person who has a Business or IT degree together with experience in the first-line support. If you demonstrate lots of initiative and enthusiasm for learning new skills, then there are opportunities for career progression across the company, for example, the previous person has been promoted to a Business Analyst role.
Your role will be the first line of support for all software applications across the organisation. You will be working across a variety of applications and departments including finance, sales, and stock control. You will deal with a diverse range of people at a variety of levels (from CEO to people who work on the factory floor) who have different levels of technical understanding. The company has recently implemented a new bespoke ERP system so much of your time will be spent guiding and supporting people with the nuances of the ERP system.
To thrive in this role, you must have excellent prioritisation and organisation skills so that you focus on the most important tasks. The support system the company uses is Jira. You must have exceptional customer-facing and communication skills with the ability to deal with a diverse range of technical abilities and levels of seniority. You will be both confident and patient with a focus on resolving issues. The ability to understand how the business works and what impact any application issues have on the business is important so coming from a manufacturing background would be beneficial.
